2018 Acura MDX vs. 2018 Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI quattro

The Q7 was introduced in 2006 and received minor updates for 2013, including a more powerful gasoline engine and the
addition of some new technologies. The second-generation Q7 was all-new for 2016 as a 2017 model. It fits at the top of Audi’s
luxury crossover lineup above the Q3 and Q5.
It is available with a choice of three trim levels, Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. An 8-speed automatic transmission and
quattro® all-wheel drive is standard on all models. The Q7 comes with a 3.0-liter V-6 engine.
The MDX offers more standard and available features along with a 2-wheel-drive version for clients who don’t need all-wheel
drive. And while Audi is known for its advanced quattro® all-wheel-drive systems, the Q7 cannot match the MDX’s more advanced
Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system.
The MDX uses a larger-displacement V-6 engine that doesn’t require an expensive supercharger to generate power. In addition,
it offers a number of fuel-saving technologies not found on the Q7, like Variable Cylinder Management™ (VCM®) for improved
fuel efficiency.
