2017 RDX vs. 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300

2017 RDX vs. 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300

SUVs use “GL” as the name base, followed by the model’s placement in vehicle hierarchy. The GLC300 fits between the smaller GLA and the larger GLE.

The GLC300 comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Buyers have a choice of rear-wheel drive or the 4MATIC® all-wheel-drive system. The platform is shared with the C-Class using the same multi-link front and rear suspensions, 4-wheel disc brakes and electric power steering system.

The GLC300 is offered in one trim level with a list of option packages from which to choose. A number of new safety and driver-assist features are also available to make it more competitive in the segment. Although the GLC300 offers a great deal of luxury and technology, its options are offered in pricey groups – you can bring the MSRP well over the $50,000 mark. The Acura RDX has a simpler model structure that offers an array of standard features to best fit our clients’ needs, and does so at a much lower price.
