2018 ILX vs. 2018 Audi A3

2018 Acura ILX vs. 2018 Audi A3

The A3 launched globally in 1996, but didn’t become available in the U.S. until its second generation in 2003. The A3 was
all new in 2012, available in sedan or cabriolet versions. There is also an S3 version aimed at performance drivers. The A3 Sedan is offered in three trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. For 2018, all trims are now powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a choice of front-wheel drive or quattro® all-wheel drive. Front-wheel-drive models feature a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission without a torque converter, while all-wheel-drive models have a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission, also without torque converter. While Audi is known for their sporty European vehicles, the ILX offers more standard and available features, as well as features that you won’t find on the A3 Sedan.

1 Always visually confirm that it is safe to drive before backing up, as the rearview camera and Rear Cross Traffic Monitor (if present) may not provide complete information about conditions at the rear of your vehicle.
2 Acura Navigation System and related features available only in the United States, Puerto Rico and parts of Canada. See your local Acura dealer for information regarding navigation system area coverage.
3 Road Departure Mitigation may not detect all lane markings or lane departures; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and road conditions. System operation affected by extreme interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions.
4 The CMBS is designed to reduce the severity of an unavoidable collision. It does not prevent all collisions nor stop the vehicle automatically. CMBS cannot detect all objects ahead and may not detect a given object; accuracy will vary based on weather, speed and other factors. System operation affected by high interior heat. Driver remains responsible for safely operating vehicle and avoiding collisions. The system has three alert stages for a possible collision. Depending on the circumstances or CMBS settings, CMBS may not go through all of the stages before initiating the last stage.
